Thanks to every one on the site for your support. I did reach out to Glockgirl, but I do encourage all of you to get involved in some way. We are not going to defeat this will dollars, so we have to defeat it in numbers. I think we stand a chance. If any of you remember I-676 that was on the ballot in 1997. It had incredible support at the beginning, but we kept working it and defeated it anyway.

As for 591, so far the NRA has not addressed the issue. The only thing I can do is point you to CCKBA and POGR. If you decide you can help, please contact me at adina@nrailafrontlines.com. I really do need volunteers to man booths at gun shows, and we will be doing some county fairs, details to follow.

For those of you located in the 35th Legislative District, there will be a Grassroots meeting on July 23 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Best Western Silverdale Beach Hotel, Silverdale, WA. Brian Judy, the State Legislative Liaison will be there to speak on the political situation in Washington State, and to address issues with 594. Please email me for more information.

Thanks, and lets ALL keep up the good work!

Adina, you said that we're going to win with numbers, not with dollars, and you mentioned going to gun shows.

I think that is equivalent to preaching to the choir; my thought is that we need to reach out to those that are NOT hardcore gun people.

TV ads, booths anywhere BUT a gun show, etc. are things that come to mind.

Do you disagree? If so, would you mind elaborating?

Thank you!

Okay, just spoke with Adina, will be making calls tomorrow. Anyone who wants to help me (poor, casted, post-op me--if I can do this, you healthy guys certainly can), please PM or otherwise contact Adina immediately. You can make these calls from your home.

So what do you get out of all of this? You get my undying gratitude, and the knowledge that when/if I-594 passes, you at least made some physical effort to prevent its passing. :thumbsup2:

It may be preaching to the choir, but the choir doesn't even know the whole story with I-594. Plus, they are going to have family and friends that they can educate and let them know why I-594 will do NOTHING to stop gun violence and criminal possession of guns. It only impacts law abiding citizens. And criminalizing lawful behavior will not change criminal behavior. I believe that is why the law enforcement groups are beginning to come out against I-594, and I think that may help win the day.

The expected voter turnout this election is about 40%. That means that about 1.5 million voters will cast their votes in November. If we are turning out the gun base, and they are spreading the word to others, we will have enough numbers to prevail and keep this useless initiative from passing. We need to get our people registered to vote. If just the CPL holders, at 461,000 would all vote no, we would stand a greater chance. With CPL holders, the hunters, the 2nd Amend Foundation, CCKBA, WAC, ACSSW, you get the drift, we could definitely prevail in November.

That's why I say numbers...
