Of the hundreds if not thousands of cars I've worked on, only ONE agency requested that the dimmer function be used, and it was tied to the headlight circuit.

Every other agency SPECIFICALLY requested in the contract that the dimmer wire be 'deactivated, or not used', or wording similar to that effect.

Hell, even 30 y/o strobe lightbars have a dim/cutout mode.... It's there for a reason, but most pencil pushers think more light is better.. Yet studies show that cars with LESS light on, usually are hit less.... Just need two flashing lights to the rear, not the entire damn lightbar.... People tend to look, and they tend to subconsciously steer towards it.... with drunks, it's 10x worse...
