Ugh. That's nasty. Yeah, how did it get up the pipe and then get stuck? I sent the story to my brother whose a master plumber. I'm curious to hear what he says.

It got stuck because there is a reducer at the bottom of the pipe from 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" He was able to squeeze his head and body through going forward, but when he tried to back down the pipe his ass couldn't go through like he can when he goes head first. He could have gone up and found another way out through another pipe, but the old cast pipe that is past the abs plastic pipe had a very tight 90 bend that he couldnt get past due to his size. The house was built in 1955 so as work has been done there is a mix of abs plastic and cast drain and vent pipe.

The wall he got stuck in is what I call a wet wall. Most of the house plumbing is in it so eventually I am going to open the whole wall and change out all cast to abs drain and vent plus I will also change all the hot and cold lines from cast to something newer as we'll.

It's one of my spare time list items.

Yeah they are bad this year. Think one busted into my heating system the last 2 days. Got insulation out of vents last night. FUCKERS!
