A couple of folks mentioned Thai food....

While you sure can't go wrong going to a Thai restaurant, it's also fun to try cooking some of that stuff at home. I've had my share of cookbooks over the years, including some for Thai food, but when I found this cookbook it changed my life, cooking-wise:

You can make some FANTASTIC food from this book . . . Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc. It has a good mix of Asian recipes, all made with a wok. thumbsup

Hey mxsjw next time you do your creamy tuna add the floor to the butter "creates rue" and set aside. Warm the milk up to about 160ish without boiling it then add your rue back in with a wisk. Keeps it from being lumpy....

I'll try it for the sake of trying it, but my gravy is never lumpy with the way I do it now.
But again, I'll give it a try cause if it's easier...I'm all for that.
Thanks thumbsup

I figured out an easy way to do chicken breasts without having them dry out to cardboard. Use sesame oil - it really makes a difference in flavor. Oil a fry pan that has a lid, medium heat. Chop some garlic, drop it into the oil, and toss in the chicken. Pour a couple tablespoons of tamari or soy sauce into the pan. Cover, and cook for 10 minutes or so, depending on how thick the breasts are. Flip them once, and give them another 10 minutes, on slightly lower heat.

Add some more oil to the same pan, and do home fries with potatoes previously baked or boiled. They soak up the juices, oil and garlic from cooking off the chicken, and taste great as a result. Same pan, after the potatoes come out, pour in a half cup of water, and dump in some broccoli, green beans, and steam for a couple minutes only, then add some asparagus, cook only for another minute or so. Drain, dump on your plates, top with butter and salt. They have some crunch to them done right, instead of being baby food that tastes dead, 'cause it is cooked to death.

Now, you have a great meal, and only one pan, with lid to clean up when you were done plus the plates you eat off of. Did I mention, I hate doing dishes? Nothing worse than having a mess in the kitchen after glutting down a big meal - you don't want to do anything, and every dish in the kitchen is dirty to do a meal - fuck that.
