When I tested for Portland, there were lots of gun related questions. These departments also tend to attract city people who aren't as gun friendly in general. You should see these clowns shoot!

Seriously? You guys are so...I don't know how to say this politely so I won't say it. She's a deputy sheriff.
Her hair colour has exactly nothing to do with her treatment of Sam, or her performance of her job, and commenting on her body? Really? She's actually looking pretty friendly and even apologetic in that pic...female officers take enough abuse, subtle and otherwise, from their "colleagues" without random men commenting on her being a "Reno 911 reject" or commenting on her hair colour or on her body. Which I'm guessing could nail all of your arses to the ground in about 45 seconds, should that be required.

She's out of shape for what police standards should be.(IMO) That has nothing to do with the officer's gender. A male officer of similar BMI would garner the same response from me. An officer should be able to pursue a fleeing suspect on foot and physical fitness should be important to police officers. I'm a big fat fatty. I have no business chasing criminals. Hell I get winded going out to check the mail.
Also, how would you respond to a male officer with hair dyed that color? There's a certain degree of professionalism that should go along with the job and the officer's appearance to the public is a part of that. I certainly don't mean this as any kind of personal attack, but IMO the officer's appearance is somewhat unprofessional.

Yes, because there are plenty of male King County sheriff's deputies running around carrying an extra 20+ lbs. around the midsection--a clear indicator of accumulation of body fat around internal organs. She's not overweight, she's FEMALE, and we carry our weight in our arses and thighs and breasts. Ignoring her thighs--again, a normal physical attribute in a woman--she looks fairly physically fit.
As to hair colour--I do not give a (swear word) what colour the officer/deputy chooses to colour his/her hair, as long as he/she can do his/her job. And in her particular case, I think it's more the sunlight on a burgundy red hair colour that makes it look "purple", which it is not.
Whatever. Slam the female deputy for not living up to your misogynistic standards of female appearance, I don't care. I was just pointing out the astonishing amount of misdirected misogyny in this thread. Sam wasn't arrested, wasn't fined, nothing happened to him, but still you guys act as if she must be incompetent because she's female. Nice.

If you want shock and awe, walk up to the back of a LA County Sheriffs Deputy and notice the Gray Ponytail. "It" then turns around and it is a 50+ year old dude with makeup and an Adams apple. Nice lipstick though. After that moment, I will settle for just gender identifiable.sinus211 wrote:Also, how would you respond to a male officer with hair dyed that color?
