The stress occurs at the time they were hands on with each other. It takes people's adrenalin a while to lower. This kind of reminds me of a post car-chase beating.... although the weird thing is he looks pretty calm after the shoot. I'd be all "holy crap".

thats the thing... his training took over...
one has to wonder and I suspect that while in the USCG he probably was attached to an anti-drug team since he was in Florida...
I've never been in a situation like this, but for a guy that just killed another human being, he was very matter of fact... and he had the presence of mind to have a story almost immediately... and to plant evidence to corroborate the story... telling you this was part of a training he learned somewhere... probably when he was catching drug smugglers..

From what I have learned while earning my internet law degree is that typically there is a long suspension, a team is formed to evaluate the shoot, the unions are involved and speaking on the officers behalf, with his union appointed lawyer.
Not this time. Fired, stripped of badge, gun and charged in record time. Union choosing to take a back seat. This speaks volumes to the general public looking in.

this is a turning point.... unions deciding not to shield the dirty cops and protecting the honest ones...
I think they would have tried to defend him if he filed an honest report but when it was revealed he lied and fabricated the evidence (taser dropped next to body) they washed their hands...
hopefully it sends a strong message to the dirty ones out there that ruin the 99% of good cops names...

I think this is solely due to the video. This is one reason that police don't want citizens recording them even though it is perfectly legal.

Blanket statement much? I have no problem being recorded and I don't know of a single person I work with that would.

I heard this also. Apparently in their report they also said they continued CPR until' the aid units arrived.. From every video clip I saw, this was not preformed once.
