Sometimes, when you expect a person to say something, one easily takes anything they say as what you expected. Even if they didn't say it. That's why it's a good thing to ask articulated questions, in hope to get articulated answers.

Michael Slager fired from South Carolina police force after killing of Walter Scott

The white police officer who fatally shot 50-year-old black man Walter Scott has been fired by the North Charleston police department, city officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Mayor Keith Summey said that officer Michael Slager, 33, had his contract terminated, though the city will continue to cover his insurance until his wife, who is eight months pregnant, gives birth to their baby.

Jeez, the police union doesn't even want to defend this guy. He done fucked up BIG time.

I love how we get preached at to look past race, yet that's all that seems to matter to the media in these situations. It's sick. Someone asked earlier how they benefit out of stoking a race war; two things: money from the ratings all the overdramatizing produces and distraction from what's really going on in this country. I listen to NPR on my commute, and every time one of these stories come up they refer back to Ferguson, "where a white police officer shot an unarmed black man." White, black and unarmed; those three words are always there.

This, even though now all of the facts have been compiled, and it was ruled a justified shoot . . . and yet, the implication in that sentence is that Michael Brown was murdered.

I'm having a long running argument with some liberals on Facebook who blame EVERYTHING on racism.

And they say "you don't know anything about it because you're white".

All I know is, i was raised to know the difference between right and wrong, and to treat people with respect, and to value human life. The privilege I was born with was good parents who taught me those things.

The thugs we see involved in many of these encounters have no value for human life. They roll the dice when they fight with the cops, or try and run. I don't condone shooting someone without justification, but these situations weren't created because the subjects were black, it was because they fought with the police. What happens after that is anyone's guess.

From going of JUST the part of the video we very to see yes I call it a bad shoot. BUT as far as the inhuman part I would call that good training. That is a high stress situation unless you are a hit man or some shit not likely he was in that situation a lot.

The stress occurs at the time they were hands on with each other. It takes people's adrenalin a while to lower. This kind of reminds me of a post car-chase beating.... although the weird thing is he looks pretty calm after the shoot. I'd be all "holy crap".
