Everything pulling up on gunwatcher
http://gunwatcher.com/Search/glock-43-for-sale?h=1 and over at gunbroker proper is showing folks forking over more cash than necessary for a new pistol.
I've heard of folks paying over MSRP when the Shield and XDS came out, but I guess this is my first hand experience (as I wasn't into shooting much when the others came out).
Buy it now price on some of these is nearly $1000.

Well, let the fools pay what the "market value" may be...
I finally broke down and bought my first Glock...
I didn't think it would happen. but... never say never right.
I got my Glock 42 (.380) for $369

I said the same thing about a year and a half ago. Picked up a G19 because glock parts are prevalent, easy to find mags, etc....figured I'd have one eventually for SHTF. Turns out I actually carry the darn thing because it is so light. I now have three glocks.

Same thing happened with the Shield, and then the XDs and Glock 42..
Let the people with more $ than sense have their fun and swoop in in 6mos when they need to pay off that CC bill...

The same mindset runs out and stands in line for the newest I Phone.
I've never understood why.

Not at all because the iphone costs the same amount for anybody. This is the same as people paying over sticker price on a car just to have it first.

I didn't pay a thing for my I phone 4 when 5s was the newest/greatest.
As of January 2014 I can/could upgrade again...for free probably for that 5s.

I would actually argue that Glocks (and all Polymer guns for that matter) are overpaying.
Blue Label/GSSF pricing is about the only way I'd buy a Glock...the only exception being my 17L, which was not available for said pricing.

Glocks are good guns... I've owned a couple... But they're not for me.
Glocks fan boys remind me of Apple fan boys... And the prices reflect it.. Just like Apple.
Everyone must have one and if you don't, you're stupid.
There are better guns out there, IMO...
But, there's something to be said about a gun that has so many aftermarket parts that you can literally build it with zero parts from the original manufacturer... Frame.. Trigger... Slides.. Barrels.. Etc.. All aftermarket...
Is it really a Glock if Glock doesn't make it? Much like we call AK pattern rifles AK47s and AR15 pattern rifles AR15s...but they're not AKs or ARs....
Will Glock be next?
