Hoping some of you with Cerakoting experience can help me choose.
I am having some lowers koted in black. According to Cerakote the Graphite black is the best seller. I had them send me samples and the Armor black seems to match all my current guns better? The graphite is a bit glossy and the Armor Black has a flat finish that seems to match the uppers and lowers I have better? I have uppers from Redx, Cero, Hardened arms, Primary Arms, all seem to have teh same flat black as does the troy and YHM rails I have.
Can anyone offer any incite on that? I am looking to coat a couple bare 80% lowers so they match my current uppers.

It's a G..U..N...! Not a dress, and handbag. Does it go bang? Then who cares what color it is.

If you are going to do it yourself why not do all your guns, they would have a stronger finish so that's a plus too .

I wuld but honestly, not looking to strip down 4 different uppers and buy all the extra coating to do receivers and handguards for all of them.
Yes I am coating a 80%, because it is bare alum and the external finish is not very appealing in appearance. If they were billet sure maybe leave bare, but these are not.

I think he means that if you're going to cerakote them anyway, black is a little boring.

Or if you're going to machine them anyway, why not do the cerakoting afterwards?

In regards to color, Golddigger said it best:
