Leave as fast as possible. Seriously though, I lived there for many years, and there is not a ton of stuff to do. If you want to do some hog hunting and can drive two hours north near Witchita Falls, I know a guy. There is always six flags, catch a rangers game, I will think of something else.

I have been looking into hog hunting. Is two hours out of dallas the average for hunting?

There is a really nice water park in Arlington called hurricane harbor. Six flags is also like right across the street. The rangers' stadium is pretty nice too. Arlington is not that far from Dallas. If you stay in dallas you can go see the grassy knoll and see where Kennedy was shot. You should get a steak at a nice steak joint. Or if you really like meat check out Fogo De Chao. It's a Brazilian steak house that is all you can eat delicious meat served on skewers table side. It's one of my favorite restaurants.

Hit up some shooting ranges, I was there for 3 days for work a few years ago and a high school friends husband was a Dallas PD officer. He took me to a couple cool ranges.
Don't forget that your WA CPL is valid in Tx too.

Just read up on TX laws though, as they may be different.

Go to a dirt race track. There's a race every night at one or another, probably 10 tracks all within a 45 minute radius.
I was there for a month, for work, a few years back and guy I was staying with let me run his hot stock at as many tracks I wanted.

Eat bbq and Mexican food. Then get the pluck out of Dodge. The heat will melt your face off. Texans also like to think everything is bigger in Texas, at least they have some cute shrubbery and mole hills...

Six Flags, Rangers game, JFK Museum, Stock Yards, Great places to eat (BBQ Anyone?), awesome strip clubs, Billy Bob's, and I can keep the list going. Texas is hands down the best country in the USA. That's right, I said country.
