seems like shit might be heating up in southern oregon

1. Bundy was a lying, thieving hack.
2. This looks like the matter is being blown out of proportion by the miners.

Only when they are right. Bundy was especially stupid, he never produced the documents to support his claims. I got into it with one of the people who went there and claimed he'd seen the papers,and started cussing me out when I asked to see the copies he supposedly had.

Near as I can tell with this Oregon case, the government is just cleaning up the paperwork and doesn't even want to kick anyone off the claim. I was born in Grants Pass, people out there are squirrely

They just want to clear up the paperwork?! You have got to be joking. That is the biggest piece of wishful thinking I've heard since I asked for something from Santa Claus

I've gone rounds with those fuckers (one of their agents even stole my tennis shoes after I helped him clean up trash in the outback; had to walk the trail back to my car barefoot.)

Let me tell you about the BLM and how "clean" their paperwork is: On a gold claim the Bureau of Land (mis) management will charge you a fee to record your gold claim. Go up to the counter, pay your money, get your "legitimate" piece of lambskin that shoes YOU are the legitimate holder of those mining rights.......

Next guy walks up... if HE has the money he can file his claim right on top of yours....

"But hey, Mr. BLM guy.... that guy who just filed a claim over mine? Record shows he has never filed a claim on that parcel before. How can he state his claim is more valid than mine, you know, since we've been taking gold out of this stream for a decade or more....."

"We don't adjudicate claims, we just record them."

The main function of the BLM is to collect fees, fines, and confiscate property.

Conflicting gold claims have always been settled in courts, not with a recording agency.

I lived in cave junction until I was nine. My grandfather owned Barlow Gravel, and my step father's father was mayor of CJ and a county commissioner.
