Was he one of the "convicts" that England used to transport to Australia?

He was from New Zealand. Scottish ancestors on his side of the family were actually guards on a convict ship that went from Ireland (?!) to Tasmania, and they then went on to New Zealand.

He was wounded (twice) in France and married his nurse from the hospital in England.

Australia has a; "counterterrorism team"? What the neck for? Oh I got it, to chase around teenagers with knives and sharp weapons of mass destruction. That country is so much safer since all guns are now outlawed.

All guns are not outlawed. You need to stop believing the hype.

594 was penned by a mad Australian convict on a prison ship ?

Hmmmmm.

Makes as much sense as anything else, including Marmite, and Vegemite.

Or the lyrics, " Tie me kangaroo down, boys, tie me kangaroo down "

Sounds a bit Enumclaw like there.

I like the part:

"So we tanned his hide when he died, Clyde
And that's it hangin' on the shed!!"

ANZAC maybe???
