Was followed home tonight

In retrospect, I should have kept driving around randomly. I live in a housing development and it's not uncommon for me to either follow or be followed into the entrance. As soon as they followed me into my cul de sac, that's when it became weird. I know my neighbors and this was not one of their vehicles.

I just did a perimeter sweep and one of my neighbors was coming home. At first I didn't realize it was him and I instantly went into "alert mode". Shit, I'm gonna be jumpy all night...

This has happened to me 3 times. 2 of them turned out to be innocent (I kept going and they turned into some other development). 3rd one realized I was leading him and stopped, backed up and turned around.

I'm always paranoid.

Slept like shit and woke up a few times. Thankfully, other than my paranoid spidey senses keeping me awake, the night was uneventful. Did another sweep this morning and nothing looks like it was disturbed. No footprints in the grass or anything, either.

Told the wife this morning (I didn't want to make her all paranoid right before bed, too) and when I told her someone followed me into the cul de sac, she says "and you kept driving, right?" She's always been more paranoid than me and is now reminding me that I need to read The Gift of Fear.

Am definitely going to stay vigilant. We keep our alarm set at all times, whether we're at home or away. So that helps...and next time, I'll keep driving. When they drove by my house and turned around, I did stare them down after I got out of my car. I made it very apparent that I was watching them.

i always pay attention to who is around me while driving. if they're making the same turns i am, i go into evasive mode. there is no fucking way i'll let that fucker find where i live.
