I'm having a hell of a time finding a few car parts, and it seems like the days of being able to identify inventory in the local junk yards is tough!

I need seat rails for a Honda Del Sol. I'd even buy seats if I had to, but really just need rails.

Sure, but it's hard to pay $210 for seat brackets on a $500 car.

I regularly see Del Sol seats on Civic brackets as a combo for $100-150. If they even had Del Sol brackets on the, I'd probably buy them.

Check out the wrecking yards in Kent. They have quite a bit of Honda's. Not sure about Del Slows though.

I know these guys aren't local (Kittitas County), but they ship. I use them for older Honda/Acura parts all the time and they almost always have what I need. Recently bought a seat base for an older CL for 75$ plus shipping.

Good luck!

I can't remember the gal's name I deal with but every time I call she remembers me, and I call maybe twice a year if that. They have been a great source for me.

Gundies is another one I use but they are hit and miss with phone/counter people. Gundies does mostly insurance work so their prices are "ok" but not great.

Car part link I listed above is like a database of parts in yards.
Some yards are on it some are not. Coverage is actually pretty good, and if you have people out of area, you can punch their zip codes in and see if it's in a yard near them.

I suggest using the non-interchange search...it seems to get more hits....
http://www.car-part.com/noninterchange.htm

My 01 Pont Aztek driver side window switch on regular search gets 13 hits.
On non-interchange it allowed me like 32 hits since it lets you put in a date range. (I happen to know that ALL Pontiac Azteks 01-05 are all interchangeable)

My mother's in Oregon, and I've gotten parts for her up here, and she's grabbed parts down there for me. Very handy to have when you have odd ball cars. :thumbsup2:

Those that aren't wrecked are just filled with bullet holes :bonghit:

Don't forget about Ebay. I'm always surprised what pops up on there.

I found a guy on Craigslist parting out a Del Sol, and he was going to keep the seats for his Integra project. That sounded great, as I could then get his seat rails and use some Civic seats in my Del Sol.

Well... don't believe those damned online interchange guides! The civic seats bolt to the Del Sol rails, but then the seats are too fat to fit between the center hump and the door!

So, now I'm looking for seats....
