An old Spanish phrase:
"Por Nada"
Rough translation means for nothing. You have no control over what transpires at the meeting yet you are worrying about it and getting stressed "for nothing". Let it go and just carry on. If fate decides that it's time to get a new job, then so be it. The next time you find yourself thinking about the meeting, just say Por Nada, and enjoy the rest of your day.

Better hope not...usually that means that the staff has to be reduced in #'s or benefits cut.
The big brained Seattle libs missed the 'cause and effect' day when they slept through their Econ. 101 class at Evergreen.

Howdy!
Do the best you can with what you've got, and enjoy the ride we call life! Don;t sweat the stuff you have no control over, it happens to everyone in one way or another. Instead focus on what you can do to improve your life, the way you want to, using the means you have available. My vote, is to get out and do something you love to do. Good luck in life! Brian

Or up in Bellingham at "Fairhaven".
The Company I retired from used to have those mandatory Company Wide meetings. Only one I went to that was worth a crap was the one where they announced the Company had been sold at a per share price three times the per share value of my ESOP holdings. On that very day I made retirement plans. Stuck around with the "new owners" for another 7 years and then cashed in my new (as of purchase date) 401k for another "six figures".
I figure that all the other Company Wide meetings, at the frequency they were held, just wasted a good year of productive time in the 17 years I was there.
Company's should just send out a memo. It won't be ignored any more than what is presented in the meeting and who knows, a Customer might actually get some help.

My old company liked to "bushwhack" employees that were being terminated on Mondays.

Every time I've attended a "company" or "org" wide meeting that contained "exciting news" it actually was good news.
