Just heard on the news, not much info. The student was apprehended by staff, not fatalities.

Wondering if it was really an active shooter versus kid bringing a gun to school. No news besides the tweet the news showed.

Ok, several shot fired, no injuries, male 15-16 year old, single handgun. The call came in through the radio from the resource officer. The news anchor said something about not putting yourself in harm's way, regarding the teacher that tackled the shooter. The Police Info Officer said something about "rising to the challenge".

How much are you willing to bet that it belonged to a parent that was restricted from possessing a firearm like that POS kid up near Marysville from the Tulalip tribe that shot up the high school ?

Son was there. He is a Senior there. Apparently there were two shots. Son heard the second shot. He was in the band room, right next to the common area where the shooter fired. There are exits to the outside in the band room and he ran out of there and got into his car. He decided to go to the public library and call us. Two buddies were with him. My son told me that he knew right away it was a gunshot because, 'of all the shooting you have done with me'.
The shooter was tackled by a couple of teachers. The main guy that tackled him was former military.

So, how did a 15-16 year old pass a background check?
Mon Apr 27, 2015 8:53 am
This bodes poorly for us in terms of "safe storage" laws. Why can't people figure that out on their own? Ugh.
