Who do you got?
I haven't paid for a PPV boxing match for as long as I can remember but I unlike several other million suckers will be watching it this weekend. As much as I HATE Mayweather, I think this goes to the judges and he wins a decision..
Probably fight #2 soon after..

Do you guys every listen to Frank Deford on NPR? I catch him once in a while, and I love his stuff . . . and I'm not even a sports fan.
This morning's commentary was on boxing. I'd suggest listening, rather than reading:

Manny!
Fight can't go to the judges if Floyd gets knocked out.

Pacman will win this one... if he can keep the judges out of the equation...
this will be a meh fight... mayweather will run around avoiding getting hit to make it 12 rounds so he can get the judges to call him the winner...
that said 99bucks will be spent on pay per view...

I'm letting someone else spend the $100 and going to his house to watch it. I even offered to chip in and he said no.

Can you imagine if the NFL went PPV?
I don't follow the sport much at all, but my friends that do seem to be pretty pro Pacman.

Im having my brother and a few buddies over and everyone is chipping in $20. We were going to go the EQC to watch it, but I think they are asking for a $25 entry

That would be awesome. Maybe due to the high cost of watching, people would actually get work done in winter.

It's an interesting matchup. 5 years too late to really be a great one for real boxing fans, but casual fans will still buy it out. That said its one I want to see
Floyd doesn't get hit much at all, and really has only been "rocked" once or twice in 47 fights. He has long arms for his height and is quite elusive
Manny hits hard. Very hard. For a small guy his punching power is up there with much bigger men. He is also fast and can take a beating.
It will be interesting to see if Manny can hit Mayweather enough times to effect him.
If Manny can get inside and really nail Mayweather with some real shots I predict either a TKO before the 8th or a unanimous decision. If Floyd the Avoid can stay away from Mannys power and land just enough counters to score it will go the distance and the judges will award him with 48-0.
Floyd's "persona" is a bit different than the man. He has his faults and made some mistakes but he is not the total douchebag people think he is. He's a showman, like Ali was.
If we were talking 2008 I would say Manny with a knockout, surprising Mayweather with his power and speed. Today, with Mayweather fighting for the "greatest ever" title and Manny fighting for "fun" I see Mayweather staying in it and getting a rather controversial decision, possibly even a surprise knockout when Manny gets tunnel vision and stalks him right into a huge hook. Hopefully Manny proves me wrong.

I've followed both of their carriers since they went pro. Look what happened when he got hit extremely hard by Shane Mosely, he shook it off almost immediately. This will play out just like all the other Mayweather fights. He will start off slow maybe loose a few rounds and get hit, then he will make his adjustments after round 5 and all you will hear from the commentators are words like adapts, tactician, boxing clinic.
Fact is Mayweather has faced tougher opponents. I dislike Mayweather's character as much as anyone but the fact is most people don't understand what they are watching when it comes to boxing and those are the people that don't understand how good of a boxer he really is.
Kind of like all of us when we see someone shoot with piss poor stance grip and posture we shake our heads, same thing with boxing if you know what your watching and seeing
