Yeah a lot of people don't consider pre 1775-6 to be "America" for some inane reason.

Speaking of Southern Baptists, the schism in the Baptist church over the civil war is quite interesting.

There are nearly countless sects of Baptists and Mormon in this country....very fascinating. I saw a book with a listing of all known religions in the US...I was amazed.
