Vietnam Wall

First click on a state.

When it opens, scroll down to the city where you went to high school and look at the names.

Click on the name and it will give details of the person's death, a picture or at least their bio and medals.

This really is an amazing web site. Someone spent a lot of time and effort to create it. I hope that everyone who receives this appreciates what those who served in Vietnam sacrificed for our country.

Pass the link on to others, as many knew wonderful people whose names are listed.

That's pretty amazing, Rod. Thanks for posting.

I looked at the town that I grew up in (Athol, Massachusetts) and there were six men killed. One by friendly fire, one by a non-hostile vehicle crash, one by a non-hostile air crash, one killed "during battle" without detail, and two killed by hostile gunfire.

In other words, half of them died by reasons other than enemy fire.

To all of them, as well as those who came back: Thank you. :flag:

I visited the wall in '13 . A very moving experience. My oldest brother survived a tour of duty, returning home safely, but not the same.
Thanks for the link.

here is my uncle doug visiting the wall last spring or summer. he was my uncle by way of marriage. he passed away on november 21, 2014 due to decades' worth of agent orange complications. as far as i know, he was a tank commander. i didn't really ask what he did in vietnam and he didn't talk about it. he was recently buried at arlington national cemetery.
