Vietnam vet, former POW,illegally arrested, escapes from jail

This is just infuriating that the gov't would do something like this to that man....

A guy serves his country with honor, is held captive for a short time, escapes, volunteers to redeploy...

Fast forward a bit, he gets arrested, and accused of robbing a bank, solely because he was there at the time and they assumed he was an accomplice. No proof whatsoever..He escapes from jail during 'work release', then spends the next 20 years becoming a valued member of the community, opening up a dry cleaning shop as 'Mr. Lee'... helping the less fortunate, and no one knew he was a wanted 'criminal'..

Authorities finally tracked him down as he was visiting a former member of his unit, who suffers from PTSD ('shell shock') at a mental hospital.....Someone he visited frequently, to keep his spirits up... He dressed up as a nurse and walked right by the cops, lol.

Anyway, he disappeared after that, and TBH, I don't really care that he wasn't caught... It was a BS arrest anyway... He served our country... took care of his teammates, and helped others who needed it.

Rumor has it he escaped to the Los Angeles underground, supported by some of his fellow vets, but it could never be proven and he couldn't be found....

Col. John Smith was the guy you went to, If you had a problem, if no one else could help, and if you could find him...

I hope he (and his associates) never get caught, TBH

I like their choice of Mini-14s as a weapon of choice.
