First pitch for a Hero...

Fri May 08, 2015 1:08 pm

The teacher who stopped a gunman at North Thurston High School two weeks ago has been asked to throw out the first pitch at a Mariners game.

Time, Place, Person

You have to have the right Time.
You have to be in the right Place.
And you have to be the right Person.

We all can be a hero... to someone. It's all a matter of being called to do so and the choice you make at that moment.

I salute you Brady Olson.
You were in the right time, place and person to stop it before anyone got hurt!

Nice they let him do that! He's a local guy to me and I know a few parents that know him personally. Pretty proud of that guy right now, he should enjoy his fame.

He sounds very humble too. IIRC he was quoted as something like "I'm no hero, I was just in the right place at the right time." But as Oldkim mentioned, it takes the right person to be in the right place at the right time. It's the person that makes or breaks the situation. Too many people would have just stood there with a stupid look on their face or cowered in the corner.

Good man. Good for him!
