Yes, I saw their site.
The boat looks much better in the "For Hire" section than it does in real life... icon_eek

Interesting. Been looking for more info on wind sailing those islands. Not many do it...it's pretty easy to die up there year-round.

F! THAT! I wouldn't want to sail around the Aleutian islands. Unless you want to wear a gumby suit 24/7 and have the CG on speed dial. People do it, just like people mine sulfur in Indonesia, doesn't mean it is good for your health. You would have to have that all planned out, and hit amazing weather. One bad storm could be all it takes. Crab fishing is one thing, those boats are larger than a sail boat, and it makes a difference. I've gone through Dixon Entrance in SE Alaska during a storm in a 50 ft tug, we thought we were going to die. My dad was captain and I was just filling in for a guy who couldn't make it. I've never seen him more scared when he told me and his deck hand to get into our survival suits. We made it through, but it seemed like a lifetime.

It's for my third book...danger, tension, and drama are a good thing there. I just want to make it plausible with lots of local detail.
