My youngest son's commitment to his lacrosse training (NCAA college athlete) is incredible. Since he's come home from college for the summer, he works 5 days a week, weight lifting 5 days a week, cross fit 3 days a week, coaching youth lacrosse 2 days a week and some how managed to find time to climb;
Mt Adams a 2nd time in May.
Mt St Helens in June.
And Mt Rainier to Camp Muir last week

Guy in the middle is in Marine Corp officer training program (Did his basic training, now in ROTC at CWU(
Guy on the right is studying to be an airline pilot.
My son on the left, business major with minor in marketing.

Really cool. My future son in law is at the Coast Guard Academy. Engineering major. He is a hiker and climber and was volunteer rescue in King County. Coast Guard Academy really don't get a summer off at all and he's a cadre this summer, so those guys are "lucky" . My daughter gets to see him maybe cumulative 3 weeks the whole year. She is a trooper about it. Good kids.

And...the secret to a long marriage...distance makes the heart grow fonder. LOL! My wife and I were ships crossing in the night our first 10 years married (I was on 2nd shift, and she was on first)
