...who did the smash-and-grab on my Passat wagon whilst I was having coffee at Macrina bakery with my former mother-in-law at 0900 Sunday morning, just after picking her up from the airport. Since you were too stupid/high/all of the above to notice that the cargo area has multiple compartments and therefore totally missed scoring some awesome opiates and benzodiazapines kept in my medical emergency kit, let's go through what you did get...B.'s luggage, mostly full of clothes of the sort favoured by 70 year old women, the registration and title to my car as well as my insurance information, and....yah, nothing that can't be replaced. If you're into crossdressing, though, you totally scored! Nonetheless, I hope you rot in H-ll, because the particular window you chose to break happens to be one that is carried only by certified Volkswagen dealers and which is going to cost me and my insurance company around $700, if not more, to replace.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, J! :( Now you're going to be scowling at every elderly tranny you see, trying to figure out if those might be your MIL's jeans... movingviolation wrote: keep in mind - they have your registration, they now know where you live... A glass-is-half-full kinda person might see this as a scenario where several problems could be solved at once.

Sorry to hear about the smash and grab. If it is a high crime area then i suspect they will do it again, which means they will get caught eventually.

Yikes, that sucks sorry to hear that.
Once you get the new title sent to you, I wouldn't keep it in the glove box. I would call the DMV and get one ASAP and report a lost title.

Similar thing happened to my mother in law down in Vancouver. Paving stone through the driver side window. Seat was ok, but they took a box from the back...full of Bibles and left over religious stuff for a women's retreat.
Getting your stuff broken into sucks all the way around. Sorry it happened.
