Yep, radar dome. Whether or not still there, about 7 years ago, used to be one large and two smaller ones.

I've lived where I can see the antennas and lights out my back windows for the last 30 years or so. During the Cold War, it was assumed that the USSR had more than one nuke targeted on it at all times..

I didn't look it up, but it sure does look like a radar dome installation to me.
As far as the copper at the NS...well, if you're doing anything with high Tesla magnetic forces, then you shield whatever it is you're doing with copper (for instance, if you go for an MR exam, the room that the MR unit is in is entirely lined with copper in the walls--you can't see the copper because drywall is put over it once it's installed) to avoid outside "noise" interrupting your imaging. So I don't know, maybe they're building a reaaaaalllly high Tesla MR unit up there?

Yah, growing up, I remember that the UW physicist who lived across the street from us used to reassure myself and his two sons, all of us about the same age, give or take two years, that there was no point in worrying about a nuclear bombing--given that we lived so close to Boeing and all the other prime military targets, we'd be vaporized before we could even comprehend what was happening and be afraid or feel any pain. This was his idea of being a good dad.
Of course, this was the same guy who would disappear into his basement lab for about two weeks before the 4th of July, and then reappear with homemade fireworks. One year, sometime in the late 1980's, he detonated, well, the SPD called it a "bomb", he called it a "firework", we called it "AWESOME!!", on the deck above his garage and not only completely destroyed his deck and garage but managed to damage the KING 5 (or KIRO 7 or KOMO 4, I can't remember which one it is that is on Queen Anne Avenue North) radio tower. So maybe he wasn't playing with a full deck of cards.

Do you think?
Expect another batch like him to start making the news in another 30 days. As long as they're just blowing themselves up, or just blowing off their own body parts (like the guy in Renton with the Sparkler Bomb not long ago), I'm OK with their lunacy.
Unfortunately THEY often aren't the only victims of their stupidity.
BTW KIRO 7 King 5 and KOMO 4 antenna's are located on Queen Anne Hill. My uncle used to be the engineer for King 5 and lived within walking distance of the "Tower". Had interesting stories of how various metal to metal connections in the house provided "entertainment". For example, open the oven door just right and have voices come out of it due to the high levels of RF energy in the area.

Yerp. This was, of course, before Queen Anne houses became ludicrously expensive and filled with people with nothing better to do than worry about RF energy and MMR vaccines causing autism in their precious little princes and princesses. My parents bought their house ca. 1980 for USD$35,000, it last sold for $1.2m. Same house, only thing special about it is that it was built for George Bartell Jr. and his family in 1907.

Yep, strong magnets and pure copper are a neat combo:
My dad used to work as an engineer for a local company that designed frictionless motors using powerful magnets. You could drop a large magnet over a copper slab, and it would float the last inch or so down to a soft landing. I still have one of his magnets in my garage. Wrapped in tape, it makes a good stud finder for hanging things on the wall.

I worked at one of these overseas. It is usually a dome to protect a parabolic dish or 2. We called them golf balls. Not much in the way of construction as it is meant to easily pass signal out. Here is the one I was at.
Crash landed space boob. Nipple inverted against building on impact. Parts are back ordered.

Did a lot of hunting and fishing there, and out running the mp's on dirt bikes. They fenced and bermed all of the trails that led to the installation not to long after I left town.
