I saw this on another forum and then read the letter; which was in The Bellevue Reporter. After reading the letter, the authors name sounded familiar and turns out to be someone I've talked to numerous times. http://www.bellevuereporter.com/letters ... rs-letter/

"Instead, pass a law that punishes those fools who leave a gun out where a kid gets a hold of it and hurts someone. "
Well whoever that guy is, he is misinformed because HB1122 has not penalty for unsafe storage, only if the gun is accessed and then used to hurt someone, as he states he'd like. (in fact both versions were consistent about that)

In fact HB1122 states "Nothing in this section mandates how or where a firearm must be stored."
