Good reminder. I should just take mine out of the wallet since I'm not a resident anymore and it is expired. My Utah permit covers me in WA I believe.

Better check. When I got my UT CPL I had to have a current CPL for my resident state.

Yes, that's something relatively recent in the last 4 years, I believe. Utah does require a home-state concealed carry license.

I had a scare a few weeks ago when I was cleaning out my wallet of old business cards and Dr. reminder cards and I pulled out my CPL and looked at it and it expired last year. I sort of freaked and the more I thought about it the more I was confused because I have bought several firearms in the last year. So I pulled out my wallet again and searched it again and found I had indeed renewed it but it just got moved and I had not tossed my old one out yet.

Guess Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary is waiting the full 30 days until they mail them out.
Been waiting 4 weeks, still not here.
Under Rick Bart, they would hand them to you after about 5 minutes.

Yup.

And they never sent me notice when mine was about to expire, either.

When I noticed, I was late. Then they took about 5 weeks to get me the new one.

By law WA is supposed to get it to you in 30 days max. The only problem is who are you going to report a violation to?

Not required to give renewal notices.
But are required to deliver them within 30 days.
Unfortunately, no penalties if they arrive later or not at all.
Up to the policy set by the CLEO.

I talked to one of the deputies at records, he said they were busy but there were also 'other reasons' why it took so long to have them mailed.

The problem is not Ty himself but the looney liberals that work for Snohomish county.
Have to mention it to Ty the next time I see him. He should be good for knocking some heads until they do the right thing.

Just got my renewal back and decided to have them laminate it. WOW talk about lamination. I can't even fit it into my wallet they used so much. Not to mention the air space around the card itself makes it tough to trim down to a reasonable size. Should of just done it myself.
