Should my employer try to push me to get jabbed, I would do what she’s saying. I probably will make even more by sitting at home and doing nothing, getting checks from my insurance.
I [Matt Bracken] was an NROTC midshipman at UVA from 75-79. One of my professors of military history was a Vietnam Naval Aviator POW named Ed Davis who had been shot down as an Ensign at the very beginning. He got married on leave circa 1964 or 65 in Hawaii or Japan to his HS sweetheart, and was shot down in his A-4 Skyhawk just weeks later! His wife kept the faith and was waiting for him when he was repatriated almost a decade later.
She had saved all his USN paycheck money except for living expenses. He could not fly anymore because rope torture had messed up his arms and shoulders too bad. (They'd leave you hanging in positions that dislocated your shoulders. Fuckers. Hence he became an NROTC prof instead). They had matching white Mercedes Benz convertible sportscars with HIS and HERS vanity tags. That was one woman. Ed Davis was one hell of a man.
Our classes on navigation or whatnot usually ended up with CDR Davis talking about his experiences in the Hanoi Hilton and elsewhere. This is where I learned about the tap code and GBU. Later, I read the Russian version in "Alexander Dolgun, an American in the Gulag."
When asked if he hated the North Vietnamese, CDR Davis said no, because some of the guards, at great risk to themselves, snuck into his torture cells to loosen his ropes or chains and shackles and make him more comfortable, saying they were also Christians, and praying the Lords Prayer with him quietly into his ear, saying they were not Communists, but prisoners also. He blamed Communism for their enforced overall inhumanity, but even in the Hanoi Hilton there were exceptions who kept their humanity. [Some of the worst torturers were Cubans sent by Fidel to help break the "Yankee Air Pirates."]
When the B-52 raids of "Operation Linebacker" began on Hanoi in 1972, the guards suddenly became friendly, increased rations, and let them out of solitary to have group detention. The guards said, "Remember, I didn't mistreat you!" They were sure the B-52 raids were the prelude to a MacArthur-style "Inchon" amphibious invasion and defeat for the Communists. They were shocked we did not land and take over Hanoi. But most of the Hanoi POWs did get out the next year or so.

Carlyle Harris, a former POW in Vietnam who is credited with introducing the tap code, which the prisoners used to communicate. [Useful information if you find yourself arrested and sent to the Gulag by American Stasi Communist traitors for being a patriotic constitutional American.]

Dirt bag pulls a sawed off shottie on a police office and reaps the benefits... Although the perp wound up narrowly avoiding the Room Temperature Challenge he did serve as a human sponge for 8 rounds..
All captured on both body cam and new Viridian gun camera footage.

Vernon. Love that guy. Hope cop keeps getting better and pellets (can) come out.
For the people who get all riled up when a white guy is shot...er I mean a black guy is shot by a white cop............the gun camera shows that shit as FAST and not that correctly perceivable from many other angles. Video can be very misleading stacked on top of human perception that it is......well..........bullet proof evidence.

I nominate this comment to win the internet for the day:
Quote:
Kind of ironic that one of the questions asked of a patient to assess their Mental Status (ie whether they are demented or not) is "Who is the President of the United States?"
