Sorta reminds me of the final part of They Live. I'm omitting the part from They Live as not to detract what these brave people did.

The Falun Gong movement is an interesting study, one that I haven't completely fleshed out. The first I heard of them was in Vancouver, '90 something. Back then they were characterized as a cult in the Canadian media. Even now they seem cultish in the description of what their purpose and methods are. Part of that reflects on how the CCP views mental health but there's also physical health claims that I just can't see as possible. Positive thinking does not clear up a tumor. The main tenants of being a good neighbor and helping each other out are solid though. "Don't be a dick" seems to be an ever enduring mantra across time and culture

That being said, if they want to believe in it and find happiness I'm all for it
