Seriously. The pucker factor gotta be huge in those waves and it must take a ton of focus to keep the possibility of crashing out of your head and focus on execution.
Surfing seems a tough sport. Inevitable to take some serious beatings getting rolled around underwater. Another thing is the learning curve. It's a take what comes sport depending on the waves any particular day.
In skiing or rock climbing there's opportunity to practice moves through repetition to perfection, especially if you have guidance from a more experienced practitioner or coach/guide. Makes it possible to really accelerate the learning curve if you have the time to dedicate. Surfing seems more of a sport where you show up and work with whatever nature provides that day in terms of waves and surf.

I normally would not post a half an hour interview, but this was interesting.
Some tidbits: 1. Virus was suspected to be worse early in the year but significantly weakened as time went on. But more transmissible. 2. Medical records from decades ago talk about treating viruses with anti-microbial agents. 3. There are existing treatments, so why a vaccine? 4. Vaccine does not prevent transmission. 5. We funded PLA students in bio weapon labs, starting with a change in the Obama administration. 6. CDC never determined root causes of people who died from COVID. 7. No one should be forced to undergo medical treatment and especially not without informed consent. 8. Animals in similar experiments, e.g. SARS did not die from virus, but immune enhancement.

I only watched one segment of one press conference, but yeah she sure did have a lot of ummms and ahhhhs in there.
But I get it, she's new to the job and I'm sure it's terrifying to be up there. Soon enough, though, she'll realize that the press is on her side, and she'll relax.
Makes ya appreciate ol' Kayleigh all the more, doesn't it? That woman is FIERCE!
