This was set up just to show it all functional and purring like a kitten. A great big noisy kitten, but purring nonetheless.  I picked 120V load that should be one of the heaviest start loads for a normal 120V circuit- worm drive Skilsaw. The air compressor is a bit embarrassing... Dirty, old, cracked guard, Farmer Brown wiring... But it is 240V and easiest to wheel out there. The generator has excellent voltage regulation. There was no noticeable drop running either the Skilsaw or the air compressor. If it was on an oscilloscope the voltage dip would be visible, but it recovers quickly. You can hear the tone change a little bit when a load is placed on it, but no speed hunting. Rock solid. It is built for 24/7 when taken care of. Ms Balrog was wearing her earmuffs and ran toward us after I started it, not away.  |
