I wonder if he gets a combined 2 minutes of actual screen time by the local press, and wonder how he will be targeted with his "given" lead in to his name. "Gun activist Greg Hamilton"? "White male Greg Hamilton"? Alt-Right Greg Hamilton"? Military killer of foreign innocents Greg Hamilton"?

I will root for him, nevertheless.

You have to change the culture in Seattle before someone like Hamilton can get voted in. And it's waaaaaaaaaaay too late for that.
Changing the culture begins in the nurturing years. And the Millennium's are handing out participation awards, graduation ceremonies for Pre-schoolers, and demonizing anyone that has an opinion different from theirs, so there is that....

Millennials are going more and more independent/conservative.
They're increasingly disillusioned with the Democrat part.
The Leftist SJWs are EXTREMELY vocal, but not the norm.

The greater threat in Seattle are the rich white women with nothing but time on their hands.
They are the ones behind Ceasefire Washington, they support things like I-594 and any other Leftist causes.
They have the freedom to attend city council meetings and public comment hearings in Olympia.
They are friends with the movers and shakers in the city, talk with media types at parties, etc.

The best strategy is to marginalize them to the greatest extent possible, and appeal to the Millennials and "regular" folks.

Greg's platform touches on things like Technical Schools, affordable housing, cleaning up the heroin problem (and the associated vagrant problem), and traffic congestion. All things that resonate with the middle and lower classes because they deal with the fall out from those things daily.

Seattle has assets of people and resources, it needs leadership.

It's not easy, but not trying guarantees failure.

If we don't start now, then when? I approve of this candidate. Seattle is is a swamp that you can't just drain. Old growth and wretched spawn have to be uprooted.
