A San Francisco transport official has been caught out in a leaked memo telling staff footage of a recent robbery spree was not being released to stop people making 'racial generalizations'.

The Bay Area's BART system has been rocked by at least three robberies in recent weeks, including one incident that saw about 60 young people board a train, rob seven people and attack two others.

Two other high-profile incidents saw a total of about 16 young people involved in the robberies, while locals reported seeing or hearing of many more.

Absolutely. Unfortunately people look at their skin color and seem to think those that don't have the same are to be criticized, feared, ostracized, avoided, and if dark enough, arrested.

I've been "victimized" more by those with the same color skin as I. Both times a burglary. If I were to apply my personal experiences to ALL people I'd likely be shooting White People.

Maybe someday our society will realize that people should be judged by what they DO versus what they LOOK LiKE. Let's face it though, it starts when they are kids and what they learn from their parents.

The "Officials" in this case are too stupid to realize that controlling crime like this might get some help from parents and community members when they actually see their kids, friends, neighbors, out committing crimes like these. Instead the parents live in a state of ignorance and say "My boy wouldn't do anything like that, why are the Cops picking on him?"

This reminds me of the old Komo news crime reporter who would refuse to put suspect descriptions into articles because he said it furthered racism if the suspect wasn't white.

When it was pointed out he was endangering public safety by helping the criminals to stay at large longer, his excuse was that the descriptions weren't "detailed enough" to be useful. So when people noticed the same crime story on other local outlets, with an incredibly detailed description, they called him on it. Not sure if that helped lead to his departure or not. However Komo eventually shut down comments on all their articles because they got sick of people correct their errors and calling out their bias.

62% of the US population are Non-Hispanic White Mails. Only 45% of serial killers were White Males. Comparing percentages, it can be said that white mails as a percentage of the population are less likely to be serial killers.

Some rather famous (at least at the time) serial killers were Black with one or more killing in excess of 100 victims. Then there is Juan Corona that killed 25 migrant workers in 1971.

When you look at each racial group, as a percentage of the population, it's hard to make the case that any one has more serial killers than the other.

In short, it doesn't matter what variety of apple is in the barrel, some are bound to be rotten.
