Damn, that's some really heinous shit!
Should never be let out of prison.

Is there a connection?

Do you support eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth types of punishment? Should this kid have acid poured all over him as punishment, in addition to live in prison?

I don't support caustic substances being poured on anyone.
He should be tried in court and if found guilty be required to serve no more than the maximum penalty as prescribed by law at the time and place he committed the offenses.

I agree, as long as he has to serve the max time for EACH offense and serve the sentences consecutively.

Since they can't carry firearms in London, perhaps someone like this should have "molten lead" tossed at him.

Do kids in England "turn their lives around"?

All you hear about from around Europe is how acid attacks are on the rise. Yet the punishments for said crimes aren't tough enough, plus cases can take a year or more before going to trial. Clearly they aren't being taken serious. If they want to see this nasty trend be on the decline then there needs to be some tough punishments. Good luck trying to ban acidic substances. Would black substances be considered assault substances?

Same can be said about people who use a gun in a crime. Make gun crimes hurt in regards to punishments instead of stripping away our rights to own guns. That way those of us who follow the gun laws can keep on keeping on.

One of those 'be careful what you wish for' situations.

I've seen enough, to know that if you run this up the flagpole and everyone buys on board... You will probably NOT end up with anything that makes sense. Like tougher punishments for current crimes. What you will end up with is tougher punishments for gun crimes across the board. Along with more and more gun crimes. Life, for not locking up your gun, and/or keeping your ammo 1/2 a mile away, also locked up... Yes, it could get that ridiculous.
