Morning has come

Sat Jul 22, 2017 10:42 am

The subject comes from a line in The World At War... I have watched it several times and that scene makes me tear up every time. Laurence Olivier nailed it.

My shop had 3 semi-truckloads of equipment and tools (and even household stuff, the HORROR!) emptied into it, and I was completely paralyzed.
I couldn't think straight (some say that is still true) and I couldn't find a 1/4"-20 nut to save my life. I just abandoned all hope when I entered it.

The stock rack had become a catch-all rack... You couldn't see through it.
Now you can see the Clausing turret lathe peaking through there.
There was a CNC cutting table taking up > than 1/2 of the open area (well, mostly open) and it was stacked about 6' tall... Maybe higher in spots. The walkways had become narrow and dangerous. I am a bit OCD and living in this clutter had -really- messed with my well-being.
I'm thinking 2 more weeks before it gets to where I want it to be, and then some of the construction projects can start again.

You sick bastard - way too much floor area exposed.

Now the wife is gonna have to buy more pallets of ammo to cover up all that unnatural naked concrete.

She's been cracking the whip about other things. I finally bucked and said shop gets cleaned out first.

My history of bullshit does not mean that I am ALWAYS bullshitting my friend.

Usually, but not always.
