Let me get this straight. The Democrats ram through a deeply flawed, purely partisan wealth redistribution scheme without a single Republican vote, it absolutely wrecks the private health insurance market, and now that it needs to be "fixed", you're laying the blame at the Republicans' feet because the Democrats refuse to work with them to get rid of this horrible bill? Do I have that right?

Yes, you have that right. ACA was designed to fail by it's timeline of implementation. Demorats have been scheming for single payer systems like England and Canada. ACA is the precursor, when it completely fails, all the "government will save us" types will come out of the woodwork and shoot the angle that single payer is the only cure.

Six years ago my coverage for a family of 3 was $463 a month, now it is $816.

ALL politicians regardless of party can be described as whiny, crooked, assholes

Need term limits and age limits.
Maybe throw in a mental health check too.
Some of these doddering old bastards appear full blown senile.

Of course you are able to enjoy failure of the highest order, it is your right as an American.

John McStain is the senator that ultimately failed the American people.

I used to have some respect for this guy, not any more. What a lying piece of shit.

What someone did for their country 50 years ago does not allow for unlimited fuckups continuously afterword.

Obamacare is a financial failure of the worst kind. Having a $10,000 deductible for health insurance makes the product an unusable worthless pile of garbage, only forcing citizens under threat of government fines to participate.

Now the spineless who voted against stopping it should be unmercessily hounded until they quit and get people in the Senate that actually care about citizens and less about their own pocketbooks or legacies.

Fuck you John McStain.

Couldn't disagree more. Mc Cain did the only thing he could do. Vote no on BAD legislation. Fixing Obamacare is one thing, making it WORSE is another. Rushing a sloppy, piece of shit bill through, just so they could say they WON is not how it's supposed to work.

Do you think kicking 16-20 million people off health coverage is the answer? There are better solutions.
They just need to quit their stupid partisan scorekeeping and get to work and find them. Who cares which side wins? The whole two party system is so flawed right now, it's almost unbelievable.

Well said. The desire to "win" is strong for many people, even at the expense of doing what is best.

Except there was no 16-20 million who'd lose "coverage."

Understand this: medicaid is not health insurance, it is a secured loan program that lowballs doctors and takes everything you own when you die. It's so bad that most doctors will not accept it. And if you can't find a decent doctor to accept it, does it really functionally exist in a meaningful way for the people on it?

Even the Seattle Slimes admits what a steaming pile of crap medicaid is.

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-new ... ter-death/

So please stop repeating the bogus line about millions losing coverage.

Most people I've encountered who don't understand the urgency to repeal the ACA asap tend to not know about things like:
-medicaid lowballing docs
-most docs not accepting medicaid
-the ACA's drastic plan requirements raising regular plan prices so that way more people lost their plans and were forced onto Medicaid when they were fine before
-the I.P.A.B.
-one of the primary architects of the ACA writing an article about why people should die at 75.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theatl ... le/379329/
-how the Cadillac Tax actually hurts low to middle income union workers who managed to negotiate good health plans and largely leaves rich people untouched.
-etc

Every year we leave this cluster fuck intact is another year we have horrible numbers for pre med and med school enrollment. We already have a doctor shortage. The damage from the ACA being in for 7 years has made it even worse. Even if we repealed TODAY it could likely take another 10 to 20 years to recover from all the young people who decided not to take the long educational path through undergrad, med school and residency.
