Does War thin the herd and make America stronger?

But seriously, smaller countries are affected the most. England, Germany, France....they lost a shit ton of young men in the first half of the last century from both World Wars. Then, they imported cheap labor to fill their post war factories. Look what good it did them.

Aren't there clear genetic changes that occurred in WWI due to trench warfare? I could swear I read someplace that the average height of the French male dropped like a rock due to the war.

The weak will die from cowardice, but the strong and heroic will die from bravery. These days I think we lose our best to war. IED's and mortars don't discriminate between the brave and cowardly.

Rampant cases of PTSD, bodies filled with shrapnel from IEDs, and many addicted to pain killers. Add to that crappy care from the VA in some areas of the country.

Looking in from the outside, I don't see the most recent wars making us stronger...

I'd love to see soldiers get the same care that congressmen get.
