Members of Congress get beyond excellent health care benefits. $503/year also covers the Attending Physician of the US Congress. Pick up the phone and a doctor will be in your office or home shortly at no additional charge. http://www.cetusnews.com/news/Donald-Tr ... 5I9IZ.htmlPresident Donald Trump made one of his most explicit threats to cut off payments to insurance companies to force senators and lobbyists back to the bargaining table for a GOP health-care bill, and saying, for the first time, that he was also willing to cancel some of lawmakers’ health-care benefits. “If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!” Mr. Trump tweeted Saturday. I like it. Lawmakers should have the same healthcare options the unwashed masses do. I like the proposed 28th Amendment too. Check it out.

Hell yes. The fact that these people who we hired to represent US have most excellent health care benefits while the people who pay for them are in a swamp of bills, premiums, denials, restrictions- unconscionable. If Trump was able to force them to have the same health insurance as the rest of the country, that'd be fine.

I'd like to see McCain have to wait for his cancer treatment until approved by a panel, then have to pay 25% of it out of pocket after meeting a $9,000 deductable.

At the very least, Congress members should have the same insurance coverage our military members and veterans get and not one penny more. Let them wait in line for an appointment like vets have to.

This is NOT a joke, this IS Obamacare. Some plans are even worse than this. I remember, when a working person had a health insurance plan that actually covered everything after the deducible was met, expressly as to not have the patient become bankrupt due to medical costs when a disaster hits, like cancer or a bad car wreck. Obamacare means that is no longer the case. There is no stop-loss concept in Obamacare, unless you are getting a full subsidy! And that is why Trump is trying to fix it. Remember, he has the best health care in the world. He isn't trying to help himself, but others. Now Patty Murray is just keeping the insurance and drug companies rich. She does not care about you or me. #Resist is not a governing strategy, you stupid fucking Democrats.

Do it.
We need to send a message that all citizens should be equal under the law.

The major one I used to work for lost several million dollars in 2015 and was on track to lose more in 2016 when I was laid off. The only reason we weren't losing more was the business from the employers who insured through us. Also see how many companies have pulled out of the exchanges. Huge companies like Anthem and United have pulled out of the exchanges. There is just no money in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exactly...Obama Care was designed to kill private insurance to go to a single payer system.

I'll believe it when I see it. The elite politicians are untouchable. The will impeach him before they give up the benefits they have stolen from the American people.

Huge companies like Anthem and United have pulled out of the exchanges. There is just no money in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Exactly. All according to the Grand Plan to Single-Payer from the Government. But those insurance companies were a key part of writing Obamacare law so they could make as much money as they could, and they did for the early years. But by 2015, the hundreds of Billions in government subsidies set aside to protect for insurance company losses, negotiated so the insurance companies would lobby FOR Obamacare, had run dry. The insurance companies in 2009 saw the writing on the wall from Obama and the Dems that they were cooked as a business model of supplying private health insurance to Americans. So they just went along for the payouts and guarantees. Good old American corporatism, (snarl) sell out the country years from now, but this year's profits look great! So yes they lost big money, but it was their own participation in writing the law and not believing the Republicans or Trump would be elected and assume control. Legislation froze and time - and money - ran out. And here we are. I feel for insurance company executives about like I feel for human smugglers or ISIS bombers. They deserve all the ill that comes their way. In all 3 groups, their chosen actions have caused pain for thousands, millions of innocent people.
