SEATTLE – A 23-year-old DREAMer in Washington state is accused of brutally raping a 19-year-old woman in her apartment complex's gym and leaving her with severe facial injuries -- including a broken jaw and dangling ear.

The woman ended up stumbling home with missing teeth, a bloody head and wearing only a black tank top, according to court documents obtained by Fox News. She was working out in the gym in Burien, a Seattle suburb, before the June 25 assault and did not know her attacker, police said.

Salvador Diaz-Garcia, an illegal immigrant who is a recipient of Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, is now facing second-degree assault and rape charges in the vicious attack. He also faces child molestation charges for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old the same day the rape occurred.

Burien passed a sanctuary law in January, but now there's a backlash. Residents have gathered enough signatures to force a vote on if the city should continue to shield undocumented immigrants. Residents are likely to vote on the issue in November, which could be the first referendum of its kind in the U.S.

"You want to lean toward having this welcoming 'we want everybody here to be happy and feel safe,'” said Debi Wagner, a Burien councilwoman. “How can we guarantee that if we don't know anything about people living in our midst?"

I was at the CJTC in Burien a few months ago, stopped by a local grocery store on the way home.
Area looked run down and kinda scummy.
Didn't look like everyone was happy and feeling safe to me.

There are some shady area of Burien, but there also is some very nice areas as well and the house values in the area are doing nothing but climbing like crazy. All along Ambaum between White Center and 160th is crap-tastic area that I would avoid after dark.

And I like Burien, there are a lot of new bars and restaurants. But if their council won't do anything when an innocent teenager is brutally raped and beaten, what will actually drive them to do something?

What good are they not only as local leaders, but as human beings? Setting up a condition that encourages this to happen is as wrong as wrong can be.

Second, illegal aliens make up only 3-4% of the population but account for much higher portions of murders at the federal level and even higher in some states, as well as kidnapping and sexual assaults.

According to the FBI, 67,642 murders were committed in the U.S. from 2005 through 2008, and 115,717 from 2003 through 2009. The General Accounting Office documents that criminal immigrants committed 25,064 of these murders.

To extrapolate out these statistics, this means that a population of just over 3.5 percent residing in the U.S. unlawfully committed 22 percent to 37 percent of all murders in the nation. This is astounding.

Illegal immigrants clearly commit a level of violent and drug related crimes disproportionate to their population

Some state data:

In California, there are just over 92 illegal immigrants imprisoned for every 100,000 illegals as compared to 74 citizens and legal non-citizen immigrants. In Arizona, the rate is nearly 69 illegals imprisoned for every 100,000, as compared to 54 citizens and legal non-citizen immigrants.

In New York, over three times as many illegal immigrants or 169, are imprisoned for crimes per 100,000, as compared to only 48 citizens and legal non-citizen immigrants. Only the states of Texas and Florida do illegal immigrants commit less crimes than their legal immigrant counterparts (Texas with 54.5 illegals imprisoned per 100,000, compared to 65 legal immigrants and Florida with 55 illegals imprisoned, compared to 68 legal immigrants).

Texas is an epicenter for illegal immigrant crimes

Recent crime analysis by both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Texas law enforcement authorities indicate that between June 2011 and March 2017, over 217,000 criminal immigrants were arrested and booked into Texas jails.

So there IS plenty of evidence that illegal aliens commit far more crime than citizens, proportional to their population size.
