Thought I heard boxing was waning in popularity. Guess not.

Floyd Mayweather is expecting to make more than $300 MILLION from his fight with Conor McGregor ... which would break down to more than $8 MILLION per minute in the ring.

The boxer spelled it all out for Showtime's "All Access: Mayweather v. McGregor" -- explaining why no other professional athlete in the world is more bankable.

"I mean, am I the highest-paid athlete out there? And just coming back? We not talking about no contract. We not talking about no contract for no 4 years, or no contract for no 5 years. I can do it in 36 minutes. $300 (million) or better. In 36 minutes."

It's not a real fight, it's just an advertising adventure. It might as well be fake-wrestling at this point.

If it was a real fight, McGregor would kick his ass. Instead it's a technical fight, where Mayweather dances around, runs away, and scores points.

I would gladly pay $100 to see Connor go in there and dance for the 1st round then come into the second round and head kick the shit out of him.

If Connor is losing the fight on the cards he should just go ahead and do it! Everyone would love to see Mayweather catch a shin across his temples and Connor could just say "oops, I forgot I couldn't do that. Sorry chump."
