As for those who are hanging in this area, no sympathy. I had a family member who ended up there for a few weeks until he got his head out of his ass and kicked his Oxy habit. Those that aren't using some form of drug are just chronic alcoholics that are happy to panhandle long enough to get enough for another bottle than back to "buzzville".

Good news story, that family member got a rude awakening when down among the absolute bottom dregs of society. Got his head out of his butt and has been clean and working for a couple years now.

Interesting stat released just this last week. MOST of the Heroin overdoses during a single week in Snohomish County were white. I believe the number was 72% or so.

Apparently drug addiction is not just a "Minority" issue (minority as in non-white). Looking back into those cases you'd probably find that a lot of white drug users were privileged kids that were never held accountable by their parents for anything as they grew up. Mom and dad were probably enablers as well by just handing the kids money whenever they asked.

Chick got up for a few minutes, one bum came by and stole her pillow....
Then another bum walked over, grabbed her entire house (mattress, blankets, etc) dragged it 30 feet down the sidewalk under the bridge and went to sleep.

One of the guys in online chat went by and dumped out a bunch of bird seed to wake up the tweakers.
I glanced over at the monitor and said 'Holy shit! That's a lot of birds!'
Looked like a Hitchcock movie!

Edit: Cops picked up one of the tweakers around 7:30 AM Saturday (camera time 6:25 or so).
He was screaming at the top of his lungs with his hands cupped around his mouth, threw his backpack, pissed in the bushes whiule the cops were talking to him, then threw off his sweatshirt, looked like he was going to fight the cops. Was really going off.
They took him away with no cuffs, think they just gave him a ride.

The cam owner says Everett city hall doesn't want them arrested.

In Lynnwood, they would have tazed his ass a long time ago.
