With 100+ shootings over the 4th of July weekend, you'd think he would have greater concerns and better things to focus on than this.
But in the end, it's all about politicians and money.

Mayor Emanuel says he’s going to sue the Trump Justice Dept on Monday, over its new Sanctuary City rules.
New rules just out, prevent Sanctuary Cities like Chicago to get certain law enforcement grants. The mayor says Chicago will file suit to kill the rules and get the millions in question.
In an interview with WLS-AM for Sunday’s edition of “Bill Cameron and Connected to Chicago”, the mayor said “We are not going to be put in a position of choosing who we are as a welcoming city and strengthening our police dept. These are exactly the kind of training and technology you want to be investing in right now and also do it in a way that the community’s involved.”
But in the end, it's all about politicians and money.

I'm trying to decide which place I want to go to break laws that the local government seems not to care if you do.
Do I go shoot people in Chicago that I do not know, or do I go to Sweden and rape Swedish girls, faking that I am a Muslim "immigrant"?

As a young man I enjoyed the heck out of Chicago while in the service.
Country boy sees big city (bug eyes!) and especially the Museum of Natural History. Amazing!
Now that I have lived a little bit my impression of Chicago has morphed : A case study in .Gov failures.
Chicago should keep in mind that their mayor is not suing the federal government with his own money.

Rahm Emanuel is just trying to keep his name in the news, especially if it's in an anti-Trump, Pro-Sanctuary City headline.
He left the Obama administration early, to go to Chicago and get some 'experience' as an elected official. He was the the third wave. Obama for 8, then Hillary, then Rahm.
She got out of the way for Obama, in return, she was next, then Rahm.
That's why they are in a cluster-cluck now. They never thought it would go down this way, with all the political pull & media control, they never thought they'd need a back-up plan.
That's why you have two nearly 80 year old women (Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi) looking like dear in the headlights, trying to act hip & all Bernie Sanders-like, and rambling on about shit that makes no sense.
Emanuel just wants to keep his name in the headlines; to them all publicity, is good publicity...
