New Addition to the family

After a few months of searching for the perfect pup, we finally pulled the trigger today. I gave all my info and what I was looking for in a puppy to a local rescue a few weeks ago, and got the call yesterday.
Meet Rocco, my 10 week old mutt. His Mom is a very large Black Lab and Dad is a German Shorthaired Pointer-Beagle mix. Looks a lot like his Mom, but has the Beagle ears and a spotted white and gray underbelly like a GSP. Played fetch with him in the back yard for a couple hours today and this little bastard is smart. Already getting fetch down, pissed and shit outside, and he stops and does the "Pointer Pose" when he hears a bird or dog barking which my Daughter thinks is hilarious.
I am a believer that everything in this world happens for a reason, today was further proof for me. Not only did I have the meet and greet setup with the Rescue today, but I also got a call from my Vet this morning. Zoey (My Akita I lost to Kidney failure last month) her ashes came in the office and were available for pick up.
The passing of the torch.
