Automobile radio options - poll

Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:58 am

Let's assume you have an older car/truck that came with a stock am/fm radio and you DO NOT have a back-up camera.
The year is now 2017 and all new cars are required to have backup cameras and you're feeling left out.
Also satellite and HD is also offered. Again, you're feeling inadequate.

This is for those that want to keep your ride because:
1) It's paid for.
2) You like it.
3) A new radio is cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Backup cameras are the shit.

Other than that, the only upgrade I'd be interested in is the ability to connect my phone and use Pandora.

Whut?

When did this become a mandatory thing?

My R.O.T. has always been never install anything you don't want to loose to a frikken crack head....At least if you gave it to him he wouldn't destroy the dash of your car.

Cartoys I'm sure has a Bluetooth connector of some sort that can be installed secretly behind/under the dash....retaining the stock radio.

I forgot to add Bluetooth but since 99% of aftermarket radios come with BT, I didn't think it was necessary.

As in the past, after more and more "stuff" become standard equipment, the pawn value drops so low it's not worth stealing. i.e. GPS units.
