The red guys (admins) can't be banned. Green guys (mods) can, and obviously being green doesn't mean that you don't have to play by the rules, as PMB so recently discovered.

We don't normally discuss bans in public threads, but in this case I think it's justified. Jason was on top of this one, and I appreciate his attentiveness.

I didn't see the post so I'll trust the right call was made, however...

I did see the beginning of the thread where an assumption was made and nobody clarified the miscommunication. I did on page 2 (or 3?) after it had gone on too long.

We're on the internet, typing things, that may, or may not, come across the right way.

I saw all posts in the thread, past a point where I saw what I considered a pretty caustic post by PMB.

Then went to bed, and woke up to this.

But I have to say. Like Rocket Scott says, I'll have to assume he posted even worse, later. And the right decision was made.

Because even though the post was caustic, if he was banned over that one, someone needs to put on their big boy panties and not get their feelings hurt so easily... I know that he himself would never have gotten his undies in a bunch had someone else said the same to him. And I don't see why why anyone else would have considered it ban-worthy.

Think I'll go look up the thread and see if what I am talking about, is still there. If it is, then he said something worse, after that. (Because whatever it was, was supposedly deleted.) LOL

Does someone need a safe space where their feelings don't get hurt? If so, please spell it out so a third grader would understand, so that I don't go and get myself banned as well. LOL

Banning a fellow MOD was not an easy decision and it has weighed on me heavily but as was pointed out already a MOD is not Bulletproof and a time-out was passed down, and I guarantee when the condemmed one comes back he is NOT gonna hold a grudge or look for rettaliation and may even laugh about later on.

I did what was I thought was fair and thats it.

I thought all the joking on other threads where Zombie said he was gonna close a thread down was a joke, because he has joked like that for years, and it's always been a riot to read.

When PMB became a Mod, I remember there being a thread announcing it & welcoming him, and welcoming feedback ( as well as ribbing him.

So now Zombie is a Mod, but no announcement? Nothing on his Moniker to show he's a Mod, like the others? Even when you click on the Mod list at the bottom, he's not listed as a Mod.

PMB is a good guy, and I like him. I also like his spirit, and could see where he could cross the line. I didn't see the post, and don't know if he did, but I also know Zombie, and trust what he says.

I actually know Zombie pretty well, and he is a great guy. I think he could be a good Mod. I just think it's fair to let people know.

If a relative newbie posts, they should be able to discern that when I say a post is crossing the line, they don't need to pay attention to it as much as if Zombie66 says it.

Heck, until right now, I didn't even know.

Zman, I hope you realized that what I said was not meant to be taken personally by you.

I trust your judgement in this kind of matter. Just because it's you. (I do tend to pay attention to the character of people on here. Not just what everyone can see on the surface.) Add to that, I trust the judgement of those who gave you the ban stick.

I was emphasizing the point that there must have been something that I just never saw. Because if it was based on what I saw, someone was awfully thin-skinned.

The rest was just mumbling about my opinion about the decision, if it were strictly based on what I saw. LOL (Which, by the way, is just me mumbling my opinion. And should not be seen as 'manning the ramparts', or calling for someone's head. LOL)
