I did what was I thought was fair and thats it.
Zman, I hope you realized that what I said was not meant to be taken personally by you.
I trust your judgement in this kind of matter. Just because it's you. (I do tend to pay attention to the character of people on here. Not just what everyone can see on the surface.) Add to that, I trust the judgement of those who gave you the ban stick.
I was emphasizing the point that there must have been something that I just never saw. Because if it was based on what I saw, someone was awfully thin-skinned.
The rest was just mumbling about my opinion about the decision, if it were strictly based on what I saw. LOL (Which, by the way, is just me mumbling my opinion. And should not be seen as 'manning the ramparts', or calling for someone's head. LOL)

Thankfully, most people are able to discern warped or "personal" humor easily when face to face.
Internet has that funny quirky ability to hide facial expressions, tonal qualities in the voice, and obvious sarcasm/humor.
The upside to the internet camouflage is that it's easy to set up a joke because the little grin on my face isn't obvious to anyone not with me. My "straight face" is easier to keep.
The downside is that people can and will take some things as serious, just like the sarcasm is often "read" as A-hole instead of humor... Since I actively try to see an innocent purpose in other people's words (sometimes it takes effort) I often am caught by surprise when other people see "caustic" when that wasn't even remotely in my mind as I typed away happily and innocently over here.
It was a joke that MadPick started, and I ran with it. I ran too far. I enjoyed running with it.... But I see that I kept running past the healthy finish line.
