First one flies the coop.

Well my daughter has been working hard on adulting. Two jobs, full time student, and roller derby. Well she got her own car insurance, and just moved into a house with a couple of roommates. She turns 23 next week. I never asked her to move out so that she would have more money for school, but she is hard headed and wants to be an adult. I wish her the best, and I hope all the Judge Judy type shows she watched with me sinks in. She has a receipt book to document every penny for CYA purposes. :reaction:

My youngest graduated from UW and moved out on his own 2 weeks ago. Finally out of the college tuition paying business after two kids and 7 years. Just me and my wife now.

Regardless how old a Woman may became, some place, some where she is still Daddy's little girl.
Releasing your "Kids" to become "Adults" is one of the hardest things I had to do as a parent.

My daughter is 41, and I still think of her as "my little girl" from time to time.

Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!
It is OK for a man to cry sometimes.

(Golf clap)

We're empty nesters starting next Wednesday when we take our youngest to college in Grand Junction, CO.
It's sort of sad losing them to large liberal institutions (college) at such a young age but he is a card-carrying conservative who is pro-2nd amendment and knows to keep his mouth shut on politics so professors don't intentionally grade him down.

What are you going to do with all that extra money?

Yes. My parents philosophy was "Nice enough to let you know we love you, mean enough to make you want to move out."

If they are too nice, kids will never leave home.

Yeah our youngest is starting her second year. Definite impact, direct hit to the gunbudget.

Good thing about Western is the last Thursday of every month, at the bottom of the stairs in the engineering Building, they hand out degrees.

We started a 529K plan for both kids when they were born. All tuition paid for except their last year, they'll have to do student loans in their senior year but we designed it that way so they would be vested in their own future (aka-FINISH college)

For those out there that are just having babies, do this. Then you can retire early and not worry about paying tuition when you older. :)
