I am aware of the differences... I suck at getting my thoughts across lately.
My question was direct and may have come across as defending these protesters? Not sure how. MRC answered it directly. My reaction would not be like MRC's. 2A is my cause, and I would be ready to militia, as the old saying goes.
MSM is not likely to treat 2A protesters in a similar way that they treat the peaceful terrorists wearing masks and burning down the cities. My question was in regards to how even we seem to be pushed and pulled by the media accounts.

"Everybody gotta die sometime". Quote from one of my favorite movies.
Don't want to get harmed at a protest. Don't go. Be the fucking grey man. Be the most violent motherfucker in the goddamned valley, but walk as the the innocent farmer amongst the heard of sheep and cattle.
Mike, you and I have had deep conversations about our views on, freedom, the 2nd amendment, peace and utter violence. You know my stance. But people on both sides need to grow up, and move on otherwise there's gunna be a lot more unnecessary bloodshed, to both sides.

Again, "victims" generally don't wear masks while brandishing weapons and shouting threats.
Now, that said, some of the dead/wounded may have been actual victims, but the video I saw showed a crowd of people with cudgels, many were masked, and ready to inflict violence before the car hit and immediately after.

I spent hours yesterday, researching this. I didn't want to just accept the word of either side. Wanted to keep an open mind.
Nor did I go to the MSM at all, until after several hours of looking for/at other sources. If you are going to look at MSM, or social networks like facebook for the truth, you might as well be watching cartoons.
I finally concluded there is some truth to some of the claims on both sides. But there are too many lies on both sides, to know the overall truth of the matter.
It is two violent people looking for excuses to ramp up the violence against each other.
Idiots intent on civil war. And that... Mostly based on their own ridiculous assumption that their side is the most likely to "win". Truth is, no one wins a civil war. (Regardless of what history writes.)
If I were to assign "blame" for the violence, I would assign it naturally, first to the driver. Then to both groups for their propensity to violence. Next would be MSM which seems intent on fomenting violence. Maybe because of the statement, "if it bleeds, it leads". Maybe because of some other sort of agenda... Next would be to the police who stood back and let the lesser violence happen. (Kind of the allowed "broken windows" of the event.) Last would be the government, both local and broader, that seems intent on encouraging the growth of violence. Maybe to justify martial law?

True. If the media ignored them all, most of this would resolve itself when they no longer got any attention. There are still problems but most of this BS would stop. IMHO
