MLK was against gay rights. That's clearly oppressive. Tear 'em down. Rename all roads and schools.
I'm being sarcastic. This whole line of thinking is very dangerous.

-Will the LBGT community now want MLK statues removed because he was against Homosexuality? -Schools be renamed? -Holidays changed or cancelled(Presidents day)? -Streets renamed? -Will the $1 and $2 bill be banned because they were slave owners? -Will museums have entire pieces of history removed?
At some point people need to step back and admit that the past was fucked up on many fronts and move forward. Part of making a change is accepting the past and correcting it.
Since when was the good Dr. against homosexuality?
I wrote a paper on MLK in school and came across several sources that had mentioned it. Apparently one of his people in his inner circle was gay, and during piblic events he made sure distance was kept from this individual. Granted that was some 20 years ago, but here is a result from a quick google search.
I personally dont agree with any of his monuments coming down, just citing an example.
Tearing down statues is a revolutionary act. Look at the fall of Sadaam. If you can have a group by its own will remove statues of the regime, what is next, removing laws that they don't like? Once they tear down all the statues and monuments, rename all the streets and buildings will they be satisfied? Will they stop? When they are done and no one pushes back, will they by force tar and feather judges, leaders and legislators they don't like? Will they pull people out of the street they don't like and assault them?
These people are a bunch of revolutionaries hell bent on overthrowing our system and ushering in a communist style of government with its associated bloodbath.
Brownshirts, communists, whatever label you want to put on them, this is NOT good.

We have a system of laws that we all abide by and work within to accomplish change within boundaries of the law. Change and revolution work both ways. It was used by the Colonists in 1776 and communists in 1917. Be careful how revolution is used. The new system may be worse than the old. And a whole lot of people may die needlessly.
