Shouldn't the National Guard have their own supplies rather than stealing from residents????? "U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp signed an emergency order allowing the seizure of private guns, ammunition, explosives and property the National Guard may need to respond to Hurricane Irma. |

Bet there are a lot of shovels at work as we speak. It would seem the National Guard has better things to do to prep for Irma landfall than go around confiscating firearms & paraphernalia. |

From Wikipedia: A licenese is required to purchase any firearm or ammunition. All firearms must be registered with the Virgin Islands Police Department. The territory currently has a "may issue" policy for concealed carry permits. To obtain one, the applicant must meet a stringent set of requirements, so few people receive permits. |
